Contributor Terms

Your words stay yours.

The short, honest version of the agreement between you and Kuralok. The plain language is the promise.

EFFECTIVE · SEPTEMBER 2026 · VERSION 2

1 Eligibility

Kuralok is for adults. You must be 18 or older to hold an account; creating an account confirms it. We do not collect a date of birth, and we do not open accounts for anyone younger.

2 Ownership

You own everything you publish here. By publishing, you grant Kuralok the non-exclusive licence needed to display it, cache it, index it and include it in feeds — and nothing more. Take your writing anywhere, anytime.

3 Responsibility

You publish only what you have the right to publish, and you remain responsible for what you write — under your name or anonymously. The Community Guidelines are part of these terms.

4 Zero tolerance

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. That means, without exception:

  • harassment or personal attacks
  • hate against a group
  • threats and incitement
  • sexual content
  • doxxing
  • spam
  • illegal content

Content of that kind is removed and the account that posted it is ejected. Anonymity is never a shield: every anonymous entry belongs to an account we can act on.

5 Enforcement

Every report is reviewed by a person within 24 hours. Content that breaks the rules is removed and the account that posted it is ejected. These are the tools, and they are all in the open:

  • you can report any entry, comment or writer;
  • you can block any writer;
  • you can hide any entry from your feed at once;
  • new writers' first entries are read by a person before they appear;
  • a keyword screen holds or refuses objectionable language before it is public;
  • nothing already public is ever removed by an algorithm — a person decides, and the decision is logged.

Appeals go to [email protected]. More on how it all fits together on the Safety page.

6 History is kept

Edits are versioned and every revision is retained: you can read your own post's full history, readers see that an entry was edited, and an award is pinned forever to the exact revision that won it. This is how readers trust that an argued position wasn't quietly rewritten.

7 Anonymity is one-way

You choose the mask at publish. A named post can later be made anonymous; an anonymous post can never be converted to a named one — the promise made to its readers cannot be withdrawn. Masking cannot recall copies already public elsewhere.

8 Leaving

Delete your account and everything that identifies you is erased at once — name, email, password, bio, the login record, your sessions, notifications and block list — and your email is free to use again immediately. Your username is retired for good. Your published posts are anonymised rather than erased, preserving the conversations they anchor; your comments stay, attributed to “[deleted]”; drafts are erased. Want specific posts gone entirely? Delete them first, then the account. The full rule is in the Privacy Policy.

9 Contact

General questions: [email protected]. Abuse, safety and appeals: [email protected]. Press: [email protected]. A person reads all of it — the Contact page says which door is fastest.

10 Changes

When these terms change materially you are asked to agree again before you next publish, comment or react; the previous text stays public at /terms/v1. Versioned history is not just for essays.
